Glass Shower Enclosures

We provide fully custom glass shower enclosures with 10 Day lead times from the day we conduct our consultation to installation.

Inline Shower

An inline shower is where the shower glass is installed inline with the adjacent wall. Each shower is customized to perfectly fit into the bathroom, allowing water to remain within the shower area. Both sliding doors and hinged doors can be installed for an inline shower. We custom make all of our showers to work with the space you have in your bathroom.

90-Degree

In building a 90-degree corner shower, glaziers make use of two perpendicular bathroom walls. Two additional glass walls are added to meet each other and the existing walls at right angles, thus forming a square or rectangular stall. One glass wall is typically a single sheet of fixed glass, while the other includes both fixed glass and a door panel. Tempered glass is used for safety and stability along with various metal components depending on the type of enclosure you choose. In summary, a 90-degree corner shower is defined by these features:

  • Two sides consist of existing bathroom walls, typically tiled.
  • Two sides are made of tempered glass.
  • All angles are 90 degrees.
  • At least one glass door panel is included.

Frameless Shower Systems

When it comes to frameless glass enclosures, there’s no such thing as a “standard size”. Just like with made-to-order clothing, frameless shower doors and enclosures must be custom cut to their own unique size and shape. At The Glass Consultants you can choose both the glass thickness of your shower enclosure (and the doors themselves) as well as the angle of your shower door to match your own style & taste.

Various type of glass styles

  • Clear Glass
  • Frosted and Opaque Glass
  • Rain Glass

In addition to glass styles, you have the option to add on a glass coating – a protective film that coats the glass itself. This protects the glass from the damaging effects of hard water and high heat and humidity, as well as soap residue and cleaning agents.

Neo Angle Shower

A Neo-Angle Shower Doors are a shower that this specifically designed to be placed in the corner of your bathroom. Usually, the shower glass is placed in the shape of a diamond with 90 degree and 135-degree angles. The most commonly used hinges for these types of showers are glass to glass.

With a neo-angle shower, there can be anywhere from 1 to 3 panels at the front of the shower. Depending on the size of the shower in front. For larger showers, there is a use of a support bar that is positioned at the top of the shower to ensure that your shower is structurally sound and have the added support.

When it comes to the design of a neo-angle shower, you have the option of going frameless, semi-frameless, and framed. The older framed neo-angle showers are outdated and tend to ware out and get dirty over time. Updating your shower to a new, cleaner neo angled shower can really show your bathrooms full potential. However, for the option of color of hardware and thickness. These options include: Chrome, Polished Brass, Brushed Nickle, Oil-Rubbed Bronze, Polished Nickle, and Matte Black. You also have your choice of thickness of glass. These options include: 3/16”, 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2”.

Ultra Clear Glass

Ultra-clear glass is also known as low iron glass. By reducing the iron content in the glass, the glass has a crystal texture visual. There is no greenish visual effect like ordinary clear glass, whether viewed from the front or the side. With high light transmission to 91.5%, it has superior mechanical, physical and optical properties.

Benefits of choosing low iron glass; Firstly, Low self-explosion rate. Its raw materials contain fewer impurities. In addition, the control is fine during the melting process of raw materials, making it a more uniform composition than a clear float glass. As a result, it has a much lower self-explosion rate after tempering. Secondly, Color consistency. The iron content in the raw materials is only 1/10 or even lower than that of clear glass absorbs fewer green and purple bands in visible light than regular glass, ensuring the consistency of glass color. Lastly, High light Transmission. Low iron glass has many industrial applications because of its unique high light transmittance of 91%. For example, using it as substrate of the solar photoelectric system can dramatically improve the conversion efficiency.

Clear vs Ultra Clear Glass

Clear glass has a bit of a green hue to its finish, whereas ultra-clear glass has a completely neutral finish. It contains approximately one quarter of the iron content of standard clear float glass, providing an ultra-clear glass that is crystal clear in appearance.

Shower Guard

ShowerGuard glass is protected permanently from contaminants that corrode standard shower glass and dull its appearance. An invisible coating is fused to the surface when ShowerGuard is made. This covers the microscopic peaks and valleys that occur naturally in float glass, creating a smoother surface with little opportunity for residue to collect.

Exposure to water, heat, humidity, soap and even household cleaning agents can eventually
corrode and stain standard shower glass. Its patented ion beam technology permanently seals the glass surface, protecting against corrosion and discoloration. With regular care using ordinary household cleaners, ShowerGuard coated glass will look beautiful for years to come.

Hardware Colors

Each handcraft is an exceptional work of art. With diligent care and effort, attention paid to each custom details. We want your personal style and the right hardware is essential to achieve this goal. This guide is designed to help you choose the finishing touch that is perfect for you!

Most Common Hardware Color

Chrome is simple, classic, and offering tremendous design flexibility, chrome fixtures can be used in all frameless shower applications. It has a shiny, silver appearance and is a common finish among plumbing fixtures. This allows for an easy match with other Shower enclosure accessories and hardware such as taps and showerheads.

Brushed nickel offers a similar classic look to your frameless shower enclosure as chrome, however, it has a silver, matte finish. The benefit of choosing brushed nickel is that it shows up watermarks and soap scum much less easily than chrome while also being a little more understated.

Oil Rubbed Bronze designed to mimic aged bronze, the warm tons of oil-rubbed bronze hardware can make your shower space feel a little more vintage and unique. While considered an outdated finish by some, it has been making a steady comeback of late.

Matte black hardware is a bold choice that works well in a shower environment that is monochromatic. Crisp white tiles paired with matte black hardware create a fresh space that will look great for years to come.

Satin Brass fixtures are the ideal design alternative for those wanting a touch of luxe in their shower door hardware. The matte gold look adds warmth to any bathroom and is easy to clean thanks to its satin finish.
